Software that requires a training session has already lost. That sounds harsh — but it is the standard we hold ourselves to for shop floor work.
The screen on the floor needs to answer one question: what do I do next? Every other piece of information is a distraction.
So we strip. We keep the next task large. The expected duration. The materials needed. A single primary action. Everything else is a tap away — not in the way.
It looks almost embarrassingly simple. That is the point.
"Software that explains itself. That is the bar."
